Junior Choir
This one credit course is open to all Grade 9 students who love to sing. The course is mainly rehearsal based, in preparation for performances at Choralfest Manitoba (November), the GVC Concerts, and other local performances. Students will learn the essentials of good vocal and choral technique, through emphasis on enunciation, good posture, good breath support, reading choral scores, singing in harmony, and singing with energy. Class time is also spent on learning about music theory and history.
Students who wish to take Advanced Choir in Semester 2 are welcome to do so as well. They will receive a second choral credit for their work.
